Madeline's Petit Verdot offers up aromas of black fruit ranging from plum, blackberry and blueberry to slightly lighter black cherry. Flavors of herbal and floral notes such as violet, lilac, lavender, sage, and dried herbs stand out as well as a rustic nuance of smoked meat. The tannins and finish are softened by New French Oak providing additional layers of vanilla, hazelnut and mocha. On the palate the wine is dry and full-bodied with a medium-plus acidity.
